Hunting Preserve
At Laybourns we have developed our hunting preserve with our hunters in mind. We have designed our food plots and hunting areas to create an environment that enables the hunters to be in a wild bird setting. When our guests or members book a hunt we will reserve one of our hunting areas that will be used exclusively by you and your guest(s) during your hunt. Although the areas are on a first come first serve we will work with our hunters that would like to book multiple hunts by arranging a different setting for their morning and afternoon hunts.
At our hunting preserve we raise pheasant in our three flight pens. The flight pens help to condition our birds so they will perform in the field during your hunt as close to wild birds as possible. In addition to Pheasant, we also raise Quail and Chukar in order to add a variety to your hunting experience. All of these bird species are on site at our club and are available for release at the hunter’s request.
When we made the decision to form our hunting preserve in 1997 we wanted to provide our hunters with the best hunting experience and longest season possible. The best way to accomplish this was to create a hunting preserve that would allow our guests and members to have a several months to book their hunts. By doing this it allowed us to extend our hunting season far beyond the wild bird season in order to create flexibility for our hunters to arrange their hunts around their schedules.
